Chronic or long-term pain is a complicated subject ....

And as such, usually requires both medical and therapeutic interventions and approaches to identify any patterns of behaviour and thinking which leads to the mind/body connection.

Chronic pain is very different from acute pain, which is short term and usually related to illness or injury. Chronic pain, on the other hand, can be identified as the result of a medical condition or with no identifiable cause.

Consequently, Hypnotherapy is an extremely effective tool for chronic pain sufferers who have no identifiable causes, and also as an excellent support system for those suffering pain from a medical condition. Either way, Hypnotherapy addresses all areas of the client's life, such as sleep patterns, confidence issues, anxiety, diet and exercise and work/family history, to determine the mind/body connection.

Any relevant areas that have been highlighted are then focussed upon to help improve or release the chronic pain symptoms.

As you are unique, your hypnotherapy treatment will be tailored to suit your specific needs and requirements and can therefore range from anywhere between 2 or more sessions. This will be entirely dependent on the initial consultation.

The initial consultation and treatment session will last approximately 120 minutes with further sessions lasting approximately 60 minutes.

Please see the price guide for treatment cost.

*It is important to note that hypnotherapy should be used alongside or after conventional treatments for chronic pain conditions. Although pain often has a mind/body connection, medical causes should be thoroughly investigated first. Therefore it is important that you see your GP before embarking on Hypnotherapy or any other alternative therapies.
