Hypnotherapy

About Hypnotherapy:

Hypnosis is a very safe, natural state of enhanced awareness, enabling you to accept beneficial suggestions where you can use your subconscious and imagination to help you make positive changes in your present and future life.

"I came to see Lorna to help control my emotions. it had started to affect my work and personal life, and I started to constantly anticipate emotional breakdowns during times of pressure. After one week, I felt more in control of my emotions and instead of anticipating a breakdown, I now know how to stop them".
Diane, Speke

Hypnotherapy is a scientifically proven and increasingly popular therapy that is particularly suited to today's busy lifestyles.

It is a highly beneficial and supportive treatment that can help in overcoming or defeating damaging behaviours and habits such as smoking and eating disorders as well as long term conditions and illnesses such as depression and anxiety.

Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural therapy and anyone can go into hypnosis, in fact we ALL go into hypnosis numerous times throughout the day without actually realising it. For example, have you ever been watching a programme on TV, reading a book or driving a familiar route when you suddenly realise that you had actually been 'somewhere else' instead of focusing on the task in hand! This is when your subconscious mind takes over and you are experiencing a hypnotic trance state. It's actually a perfectly normal part of our daily routine and you are still in control and aware of everything that is happening around you. My job is to work with your subconscious mind by offering positive suggestions for change and by dispelling any limiting beliefs. The results can be rapid, powerful and motivating.

Hypnotherapy Explained

During hypnosis you cannot be made to do or say anything against your will. I am there to support you and help you to facilitate the changes you want. Hypnotherapy is not the same as stage hypnosis. Stage hypnosis is performed by a hypnotist who is also an entertainer. Their job is to find a very small percentage of the target population within the audience who are highly susceptible to hypnosis and who WANT to get up on stage and perform. Hypnotherapy is vastly different from stage hypnosis, it is a gentle, relaxing treatment and you are totally in control.

We will be working together on a one-to-one basis, and I will support and encourage you in bringing about positive changes in your life. Together we will discuss your problem enabling me to find the most beneficial solution and techniques targeted specifically around your needs.
